We are adapting to life on the swamp. It is raining off and on everyday, and definitely on the humid side.
Stitch fell asleep last night … Sometimes pillows confuse him:
Ahh, that's better. It's daytime now, and he's figured it out for his nap.
Left Paradise on the Penobscot yesterday at 8:30am. Should be back to Sunset on the Swamp on Saturday.
The pups were making sure they didn't get left behind, hopping into the car early:
It was a dreary drive – raining and foggy all the way. Had a couple traffic tie ups and a nice tour of Fordham University as we looked for the George Washington Bridge in New York, but made it to the Best Western in Westampton, NJ by 5:30pm.

We went to sleep early. Stitch woke us at 2am with a definitive need to go outside. We were just glad he woke us!
Back to sleep, the fire alarm goes off at 4am … And stays on. Evacuating (no rain and a balmy 60 degrees, thank goodness), we wait 30 minutes for the fire truck and the OK to return to the room. Last time this happened was in Crater Lake in the midst of a snowstorm, so it could always be worse.
It's now 5am, we've showered and will probably just head out to get an early start. Here's hoping the next 24 hours are less stressful.

Kathy is visiting (Steve was worn out from the 24 Hour Daytona Race). Lou cooked delicious spaghetti and meatballs, topped off with THIS for dessert … Looks great!
Is good news. We are just enjoying beautiful South Florida. We have sunshine today for the first time this week.
Yesterday was teeth cleaning day. I should have used my new “selfie stick” to make a movie. More about that later.
In case folks are checking the blog – I have not gone AWOL. Just taking a bit of a break. Still intend to get the cruise pics up. That involves plugging in the laptop, finding the cameras, downloading the pics, editing the pics, sorting the pics, putting them on the blog. Whew, I'm tired just from typing that.
We've both been fighting with the silly colds and flu going around, so feeling kind of lazy. Lou has been working on trains and I've been slaying dragons.
I ordered a Fitbit step tracker from Amazon – but it's broken, so have to send it back. “Sigh” – now I will have to be a couch potato for another few days. Wouldn't want to take any steps that aren't getting tracked …
