Apple Alert!

Lou has quite a few apples growing on his trees. The concern is not so much the deer this year, but the crows are sneaking into the trees and getting the apples. The apples in these photos are just a bit smaller than tennis balls.

  1. Hi guys,
I have a ton of apples myself and a ton of crows who are very smart…and want them…actually according to PBS nature, the third smartest creature on earth…they loved my apples last year. I think I have found a solution…at least so far.
I bought plant cloth and wrapped it around one tree and clipped it with a document clip in the middle and when the wind blows, it blows the bottom and top of the of plant cloth and scares them away. So far, they have not even approached the 2 trees close by which are also filled with apples because I think the blowing cloth scares them. I will be doing the same technical device with my pomegranate trees because the crows love those too. Let me know if you want me to send you a photo…AMY
So far, it is working…give it a try. AMY
