Lobster Time

Beth leaves today and we are so glad she came for a visit.

More photos from our outings are coming, but here is a sample of meals during the last two days:

The last was a delicious Lobster dish prepared by The Hartstone Inn in Camden. We were going to another restaurant in Camden – The Waterfront – so Beth could get lobster on her last night. They advertise “open 365 days a year” – so color us surprised when they were closed this week!!!

Lou rescued the night by stopping at The Hartstone Inn to see if they were serving dinner – they were, they did, and we had a fabulous meal. Much better than the original plan.

In other news, progress is being made on the project.

Yay!!! Beth is Here!!!

Beth has come for a visit, arriving in Portland yesterday (Friday) after flying all night. We are having a good visit, and today took Beth out to see some of the local sights. Since it is after Labor Day, a lot of our E Ticket attractions are closed, but we were able to give her a little view of the Maine Countryside.

Our first stop was at the Fort Point Light House, just outside of Stockton Springs:

Of course, the pups had to go along for the outing.

We stopped in to visit Fort Knox, but only the grounds were open. Beth & Lou tried to break in, but were unsuccessful.

We also showed Beth one of our top attractions – the Bridge (she was impressed!)

After a tough morning of sight seeing, Lobster Rolls were in order:

And, that was our excitement for the day. Arrived home, had naps, and looking to go out for dinner tonight. I hope Beth can keep up with our exciting lifestyle!!!

Project Train Depot

One way you know there is a new project starting at Paradise on the Penobscot:

A new machine shows up. We really should just buy a couple of these. The latest project is adding a room to the side of the garage to house the Maine N-Scale Train Layout.
