Out and About

Lou decided he wanted to get out of the house today, so we drove to Belfast. His first stop was at the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. Then, we had to stop at the “Ocean State Job Lot” store – this is a discount hodge podge store. What did he need? A bigger binder because he was running out of room in his Louis J. DeHayes Medical Notes binder …

Then, on to the grocery store. Here’s a mini-documentary on our trip to the grocery store.

We made it home safely. And, we had a surprise for the pups. Lou found these at the drugstore – this was a practice run, I imagine we’ll see a few more poses before the end of the month:

“Hey – don’t bug me, I’m takin’ a nap.”

"Yes, I am a Princess, looking pretty in my pink tiara."

“Yes, I am a Princess, napping while wearing my pretty pink tiara.”

And – Stitch seems to be feeling just fine, so let’s hope there are no more visits to the vet in our near future.

Random Happenings

Well, today was another fun day. Another trip to the “emergency” room. This time it was Stitch. He was acting odd in the morning, so we took him to the vet. After spending the day there and getting some tests, he was pronounced Happy and Healthy. So, we are hoping it was just a short term effect from a bug he ate.

The Incredible Hulk

The figure you see coming down the driveway is Lou – on the first of his four walks he does each day.

Coming down the driveway next was another load of Rocks – you can never have too many Rocks !!!

And, before all of the driveway excitement started, I captured an early morning shot of the sunrise-in-the-making. The colors were amazing (have I said that before?)

Fall is Fleeting

Ho hum, another nice day in Maine. Kathy & Steve went over to the boat and unloaded some stuff for Lou. I went to the grocery store – but forgot the list! Oops. Only forgot a few things, so at least part of my mind still works.

Here are some more photos from our “Fall by Faul” drive on Friday – we went back to Hope, because we saw some nice photo spots when the kids and I visited the elephants. Steve even took us down a few side roads. These photos go with the four posted yesterday.

A lot of the trees are bare already, some haven’t started to turn color yet, so it’s a bit of a mish mash.

Sunday in Northport

It’s starting to get colder, but today was still a beautiful fall day. We had a nice visit from Bemily (also known as Ben & Emily) today. Natasha & Stitch were in heaven – many of their favorite people all in the same room (not us – Kathy, Steve, Ben, and Emily). Natasha probably would have fainted with happiness if Mij had walked in the door.

Just a few photos from our drive on Friday – still have to go through the rest. I’ve been working on Alaska photos (yes, I keep saying that, and yes, I will share at some point), so haven’t looked at all the ones from our drive yet.

And – good catch on the body in the rocks in yesterday’s photo.

And … Another Nice Day

Winter seems far away, but I imagine it is just around the corner. Still working on photos from yesterday’s drive, but here are some from this morning.

Company from California departed early this morning. Kathy and Steve can’t sit still – they took the dogs for a long walk, Steve cleaned the leaves off the deck, and now they’ve taken bottles to the Redemption Center. Must be nice to have so much energy!

Lou continues to make good progress, although I think he’s still eagerly awaiting a good night’s sleep. It’s hard to get comfortable.
